Here's the guide on how to install the client including how to update and make it work for FFXI Pilipinas.
Prerequisites
Official Direct DL (Recommended, Fastest way to update, around 2-3 hours depending on your connection)

Part 1: Installing FFXI
1. After downloading the installer, extract it in a folder then run "FINALFANTASYXIUCAE.exe"
2. Install the following:
~Play Online Viewer
~Final Fantasy XI
~Rise of the Zilart
~Chains of Promathia
~Treasures of Aht Urghan
~Wings of the Goddess
3. Finish
Part 2: Updating Play Online Viewer
1. Run Play Online, it will ask you to update it, go ahead and update.
2. When its done updating it will restart and will ask you if you are a new user or an existing user: choose "existing user"
3. Enter any "Member Name" and "PlayOnline ID" note: "Playonline ID needs to be ALL CAPS"
4. Click "Register" then "Yes"
5. Click "Exit Viewer"
Part 3: Updating FFXI
Part 3.1: Patching FFXI
Go back to your FFXI Installer directory and extract "PXI-FFXI-UpdatePatch Do this befor launching play online.zip" or "PXI-FFXI-UpdatePatch"
(you can directly extract it to the FFXI directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI) or you can extract it somewhere and copy and paste it to the FFXI directory, be sure to overwrite all files.

Part 3.2: Updating FFXI
1. Run PlayOnline then click "Check Files" on the left menu bar
2. Click on the UP&DOWN arrow icon (Drop Down Box) and choose Final Fantasy XI then click on "Check Files" at the bottom
3. PlayOnline will check all of the files for FFXI which takes about 10-15 minutes depending on your machine, after its done checking it will say that it has found errors
4. Choose and click "Repair" or "Fix Errors" (This now needs patience. It will take about 5-10 hours to update FFXI!)
5. After its done updating, you can exit PlayOnline Viewer
Part 3.3: Copying the "data" Folder (Important)
1. Navigate to your PlayOnline Viewer Folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\PlayOnlineViewer)
2. Copy the "data" folder
3. Navigate to your FFXI Folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI)
4. Paste the "data" folder
"For Advance User"
note: you can update FFXI manually by downloading the patch files from tehkrizz.net/FFXI/downloads.php
download all of the RAR files from that page and extract it in your FFXI Folder, after that you can run "Check Files" from that point it will find errors, just repair or fix it, it will still update but this time it will be just a handful of patches. after updating, copy the data folder from playonline folder and paste it in to FFXI folder.
Part 4: Configuring your FFXI to run for "FFXI Pilipinas"
Requirements: MSVC 2013 Runtimes x86 version and MSVC 2012 Update 1 Runtimes x86 version.
1. Download MSVC 2013 and 2012 from the above link and install it
2. Download Ashita V2
3. Create a new folder named Ashita and transfer Ashita.exe in that folder
4. Run Ashita.exe as "Admin" (it will now download all of the files needed)
5. After the download it will bring you to the "Servers Menu"
6. Click on "Private Server" then click "Edit Configuration" (Pencil Icon at the bottom)
7. In the "Boot Settings" change the "Boot Command" to --server ffxipinas.dlinkddns.com
8. Click the "Check" Button/Icon at the bottom to save the configuration
note: you can also edit your screen resolution preferences in the Window tab.
~Congratulations! you are ready to play!
~On Ashita, just click the arrow button/icon besides "Private Server"
~You can also create a desktop shortcut of that configuration by clicking the button/icon on the right bottom corner of Ashita.
~Phew that was a long trip! See you in game!
